I need to know if there is any store that is open (sells these things). In the Metro Detroit area, or on I-75 from Metro Detroit to Boyne Falls. Best answer:You may be able to rent at the area. This is so at most resorts. For any last minute purchase on Christmas Day I doubt you will find any shop open. I am a skier in Michigan, any suggestions of where I should go?Full question:So I am looking to go skiing on like March 3rd or some where around that; I've been thinking Nub's Nob or Boyne Mt./Highlands. What do you guys think? Please get back to me ASAP. I DONT'T WANT TO GO TO A PLACE LIKE Mt. Holly OR Pine Knob =] THANKS. Best answer:NUBS NUBS NUBS NUBS....! I live up here next to these ski resorts. I've skied them all. I'd rank them in this order: 1.Nubs Nob 2.Boyne Mountian 3.Boyne Highlands Nubs has the best grooming (by far) and the most variety. There terrain park is easily much better than the others and all around more friendly workers. Do yourself a favor and go to Nubs Nob. I'd say it's the best place in MI to ski. Since Boyne Mt. and the Highlands are somewhat close we would ski both places usually and Nubs is right there and good to ski too - more advanced runs. The highlands have a lot of blue runs if you're an intermediate skier you'll like that. They have black diamond and easy runs as well. I believe they have the most runs of any ski area in MI. Boyne Mt.has less runs and they tend to be a little more challenging. I also skied Schuss/Shanty creek because my ex used to work for the the company that ran it and we got a lodging discount. Shanty is a beginners ski area and Schuss while not a large ski area has a few very nice slopes. Kingdom Come is a great slope to learn to ski steep hills. It's well groomed, steep and wide open. It's great for the intermediate trying to get some steep runs in. boyne mountain or boyne highlands? which should i go to?Full question:well im an experianced and avid snowboarder and im taking a trip up to boyne MI. tomorrow and i was wondering if i should go to boyne mountain or boyne highlands. im usually in the terrain park and im a snowboarder. i know that the mountain has a 15 foot pipe but the highlands has a 13 foot or something but i dont really care about the pipe size. which is more crowded and which has a better terrain park with more features then she other? -thanks Best answer:boyne mountain.
