Skiing/Snowboarding Enthusiasts of the West! Brian Head or Durango?

Where should me and my boyfriend go over Thanksgiving break, Thursday - Sunday!?! We're looking at either Brian Head, Utah or Durango, Colorado. I've already been to Brian Head a few times, but he's been to neither. I'd be willing to go to either. Which do you recommend??

Best answer:

Well, I've never skied either of those places. But FYI, Crested Butte, CO has FREE skiing the first three weeks of the season or so. Usually November through middle of December. I worked there one season and it's great, although early season anywhere can be a bit sketchy, so keep that in mind. I've heard the Southwestern CO resorts are great (Telluride, Durango, etc.), so those would be a good bet too. Have fun!

I don't see it happening. Brian Welch and the members of Korn have each given conflicting statements as to if this would ever happen. Jon Davis once said that he's burned his bridges with the group and they're better off without him, but more recently he's stated that he's always welcome back if he wants to. As for Brian, he once said the timing and the conditions would have to be right, but has also said that he has no desire to get sucked back into his old lifestyle and going back to Korn wouldn't be worth the risk. As of now, Head has named his band Love & Death and they should be putting out a new album this year. Korn has been touring for their new dubstep inspired album and also have plans to start recording again soon. I don't think they'll reunite unless it's for 1 or 2 performances. In 7 years Korn will be eligible for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, so if they get inducted mayble they'll perform together then, like Jason Newsted did with Metallica.

Lol, people say that means they killed someone when they put tear drops at the eye. Honestly, why would anybody cry for a person THEY killed ? Makes no sense. brian welch left the band "korn" in 2005 after becoming a christian and wanting to begin a new life away from the drugs, alcohol, partying, depression, meaninglessness to life. he is currently a solo artist and released an album in 2008 called "Save Me From Myself" which is a really awesome album. i would highly recommend that you listen to it. in my opinion, it is better musically than korn's music, but that's just my opinion. listen to the album and judge for yourself

That was a pretty embarrassing loss to the Miami Dolphins Sunday. After thinking about the flow of the game, I feel that a number of poor coaching decisions contributed to the defeat. I think Billick should go. What's your opinion?

Not only they lost 7 or 8 straight games including the one to the win-less Miami but they also haven't one a playoff game since their SB Championship. so i think yeah, he is a good coach but i think he gave it all he can and should go coach another team. it will be good for him and for the ravens.

Brian head is a great little resort and the closest Utah resort to Vegas. Its a nice small area and the mountain is not real difficult. There are some interesting shutes and the views are great. They do allow snow boarding and have terrain parks that are pretty cool. The resort has not opened yet but its getting close. All they need is one more good dump and there you go.

You know, I've found from many personal experiences that going there will get you the better deal all on its own. My husband was looking for cheap tickets to Disney World last year. We ended up saying "to heck with it" and drove down there anyway without any plans of where to stay or eat. We simply packed up the car, put the kids in their seats, and went. We ended up staying at a 5 Star Hotel that was majorly discounted in the city itself and getting two free tickets to DisneyWorld. Take that chance and go with your gut.

I'll be in Vegas mid January and want to take one day to go to Brian Head skiing but I don't want to rent a car and drive myself there and have to worry about falling asleep at the wheel on the way "home" from a strenuous day of skiing.
