Skiing/Snowboarding? Good mountains in NJ please!?

Full question:

I live in Northern NJ. I LOVE snowboarding, this will be my 3rd winter (coming up) It's early I know but I'm so excited and I need mountain Ideas!!! I have gone to Campgaw and Windham. Windham is great but what are some others? None is pennsylvania if possible, my family doesnt like to drive too far... I think keep it under 2 and 1/2 hours driving. Also I'm still a beginner, I have to work on my heelside traversing and hockey stops. I ride goofy, just FYI. Thanks!! 10 points to best answer!!! :)

Best answer:

if you've been to windham.. try hunter. Hunter is pretty close to windham so the drive times shouldn't be that far apart. Except for the big air bag at windham, i actually like the riding better at Hunter. The things i liked the most were the lift and trail network. Granted I was only there during the week, but there was never any lines. They're also putting in a new high speed 6 person detach this summer too, and the quad that was there is going to hunter west so you now have top to bottom riding off high speed lifts on two seperate peaks. The nice thing about the trail network there is that green stuff is seperated from the black stuff so you get a lot less people on trails they don't belong, and for you being a beginner you will have less maniacs flying past you on the green runs
