How can I get from JFK airport to Driggs Street Staten Island?

Can anyone tell me which is the best (cheapest, safest, shortest) way to travel from JFK airport to this adress: Driggs Street Staten Island. I have never been in NY so please be very specific. Thanx

Big difference between shortest and cheapest. The shortest way to do this is with a cab because they will drop you off right at the door on Driggs. The problem is that it will cost You quite a bit. The cheapest is to use the subway. This will take you quite a bit of time. It's up to you. The subway way to go is as follows. Take the airtrain to the Howard Beach station of the subway. You need to take an "A" train going towards the city. You would travel all the way into Manhattan (in excess of 24 stops) and get off at Broadway-Nassau Street in Manhattan. You then cross over to catch a number 4 train south the the Bowling Green Station. Get off at Bowling Green and walk to the Staten Island Ferry which is a few blocks away. Catch a ferry across the harbor to Staten Island and once in Staten Island you would get on a Staten Island Transit train which is right in the terminal. You would stay on the train until you got to the Eltingville Station. Driggs Street is more than a mile from the station so maybe you could arrange someone to meet you at the station. This is an extra long way to go but it is the cheapest.

Methods of transportation from Long Island to McCarren Park Pool?

I need to get from Long Island to McCarren Park Pool in Brooklyn. It is located on Lorimer Street, between Driggs Avenue and Bayard Street. If I take the LIRR to Flatbush Ave train station where do i go from there? Or if I take the LIRR to Penn Station where do i go from there? I just need any possible way to get there by train, bus, or subway.

BTW: If you do take the LIRR into Penn Station you could get to McCarren via these directions. Walk from Penn Station over to 34th Street Herald Square Subway Take the N, Q, R, or W train downtown to Union Square and then transfer to the Canarsie bound L train to Lorimer Street in Williamsburg. Lorimer is the second stop on the L train in Brookyln (4th stop from Union Square) I would recommend going to Flatbush avenue LIRR though. The G line directions suggested above are a bit quicker. The only reason to go to Penn instead would be more trains run there instead of Flatbush.

cheap cross country trip?

Amtrack is not cheap. It is usually not direct. It is not fast. However, it is fun. The meals are big bucks so bring a cooler of sandwich meats & bread & drinks. bring a lot of batteries for the camera as it goes where cars do not. Go to their web site for details.

I used some picture from photobucket, I tried not to really choose a pretty. I just used some average picture of a girl. And it was really a MySpace just to add people who's good at editing pictures and I would ask for them to edit my pictures. And I also added my real MySpace, and when I did my friend thought she was "hot" so he added my fake myspace and started talking. So I though, "Hm just a bit of fun. What could go wrong?" Well, some may say to just tell the truth, and everything will be wonderful (sounds like a cliche TV show...), but I kind doubt the wonderfulness of the outcome. Another idea would be to break his heart in some horrible way as the other girl and then disappear. He may be bitter enough not to care if you (in the form of the other girl) disappear. Sadly, a general trend amoung young women seems to be to not let a man know you like him. Make your move before a real girl steals him.. But then there is the risk of things turning out badly... Hmm... You could use the fake one to tell him that the real you likes him and that you(fake) can't hurt your friend(real you) by stealing him from you(real). I personally think the truth is the best.

Is Williamsburg Brooklyn safe?

We are taking a family trip to NYC in the fall and found a penthouse to accommodate all 12 of us in Brooklyn. We are thinking about staying on S. 8th st between Driggs ave and roebling st. South of williamsburg bridge. I've heard scary stories about "south" Williamsburg but it seems like a perfectly fine place to stay. I just want to make sure before I have my whole family stay there for a vacation. Thanks in advance and please only answers from people that live/lived in the area or visited in the past couple years.

It looks like a fairly safe section of Williamsburg. North of the bridge is a working-class Hispanic area, and south of it is a section with a lot of Hasidic Jews. I think East Williamsburg is the one that's a little bit worse, though no section of the area could really be considered "bad". I hope this information was very helpful.
