Questions and AnswersHere are common questions and answers relating to Kranjska Gora... Snow Skiing QuestionsThe following questions were posted in Yahoo's 'Snow Skiing' category: When does the snow start falling in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia?Full question:I am taking my family on their first skiing holiday in KG in three weeks time. It is currently 16 degrees over there, and not a snowflake in sight! Should I be worried? When would the snow usually start falling? Best answer:You shouldn't be worried. By the time you get there if snow hasn't fallen yet, it'll be made artificially. Enjoy your vacation. Skiing in Slovenia?Full question:I will be visiting Slovenia in December, and would like to ski. I know that there are a couple of ski resorts there - I have heard of Kranjska Gora and Krvavec. If anyone has experience of these resorts, please could you give me your opinions. I am a fairly inexperienced skier. Best answer:Hi there. As you said, Kranjska Gora could be a choice - it's my preferable, simply because it has a lot of additional stuff to do besides skiing - wellness, nice pubs, casino, other sports possibilities, concerts, events. There are other resorts too like Pokljuka, Pohorje, Rogla, Kanin,... but as I said, for me, Kranjska Gora is most fun. Questions from Other CategoriesThe following questions were posted in various Yahoo's categories other than 'Snow Skiing' - hopefully they are relevant: Slovenia - how do we get from Kranjska Gora to Bovec when the Vrsic Pass is closed in April?Full question:What is the quickest way to get from Kranjska Gora to Bovec when the Vrsic Pass is closed in the winter months? What is the quickest route? What is the most scenic route? We are driving. Best answer:Easier to fly. Has anyone been to Kranjska Gora in Slovenia over Christmas?Full question:I would like to know if there is, historically, enough snow in the area in late December for snowboarding? Thanks Best answer:There should be enough snow for snowboarding indeed, because they arrange top-level alpine skiing events (official FIS events) there in both Kranjska Gora and Maribor every spring! So, no worries about snow there! Powered by Yahoo! Answers Comments:Your Comments:Have you any got anything to say about staying at Kranjska Gora (e.g accommodation, tips about where to eat, etc)?
