Snow Skiing QuestionsThere are currently no questions relating to Lienz in the snow skiing category.Questions from Other CategoriesThe following questions were posted in various Yahoo's categories other than 'Snow Skiing' - hopefully they are relevant: What are the Theological Ramifications of the British Government for repatriating the Lienz Cossacks?Full question:What are the Theological Ramifications of the British Government for repatriating the Lienz Cossacks to the Atheists? Best answer:Negligible. It had little to do with religion and everything to do with politics. Most of the Cossacks had not known that their fates were sealed at Yalta. (I realize that the uninformed try to play up the idea that British theists sold out the Cossacks to the atheist Stalinists but even if the Stalinists had been the world's most devout Russian Orthodox, the Cossacks were considered traitors and Nazi allies.) Would you like to spare a moment it will make all the difference? Please Please.?Full question:I'm looking for this jacket http://www.extremepie.com/mens/jackets-403/fashion-jackets-80/oneill-lienz-jacket-root53957.php Or similar to it. if you can help me find one in the u.s. it's appreciated Best answer:zumiez has good jackets you can look their question about austrian german?Full question:from what I know, in german german, "ie" pronounced kind of like just "i". is the "ie" in austrian german pronounced differently? as it is actually written? for example, the cities Linz and Lienz: how do you pronounce each one? and how would you pronounce it in german german? an audio would help, if you have... if you know some other differences between german german and austrian german, i'd like to hear about them :) thanks. Best answer:As pro and contra has already pointed out, Linz and Lienz are proper names. Normally, the "i" is pronounced shortly like in "in", whereas the "ie" is a long "i" like the "e" in "evil", for instance. There is not normally a difference between German German and Austrian German. As far as I know, the Austrian city "Lienz" is not pronounced with a long "i", though, but instead the "ie" is drawn apart and it is pronounced "Li-enz" (short "i" and "enz" like in "end").
