Best answer:Maribor itself is 112 km from Ljubljana. There are goog train and bus links between two cities. I am not quite sure about Maribor airport; I think there is a bus that takes you to town, to railway and bus station. From there, you go to Ljubljana by either bus or train. Train cost anything from 10-25 euros, depending on your age (if you are under 26 and qualify for young traveller fare then it's cheap) and kind of train you take.Taxi from airport to Maribor will cost around 1euro per km but I don't know how far the airport is from the city. Good Luck! Do you think Weiss would have unlocked the Maribor defence a lot more than we did tonight?Full question:
Best answer:Nope I think Mccoists attitude before every game, the whole "we wont try to win in the first 15 minutes" mentality is what cost Rangers victory tonight, I hate that approach to the game, we should have walked tonights game and gone at them from the first whistle, but as usual the best performance is saved for the last 10 minutes and cost us dearly. should i buy train ticket from vienna to maribor online or at the station?Full question:do i need to pre-buy the following train tickets online on eurorail? Here is their link. http://www.culturalprofiles.net/slovenia/Units/3871.html Cheapest travel price from Maribor/Ljubljana to Paris?Full question:I want to go to paris from Slovenia with cheapest way. I found an alternative way which is Going to bratislava from slovenia and 28 euro(flight) to paris or going to italia from slove and 45 euro(flight) to paris? What can i do? Can you show me cheapest? I can also go with TRAIN whatever is cheap Best answer:Sincerely, you know that the return ticket Bratislava - Paris is with Ryanair so that the real price is much higher than 28 euros in most cases. If you have 20kg luggage, you have to add 50 euros, Maybe also some additional charges for file, online booking,.... Some other days, the air ticket is also more expensive than 28 euros Furthermore, the trip to Bratislava from Maribor is about twice longer than to Ljubljana. Last but not least, you land in Beauvais (a regional airport), not in Roissy or Orly which are the international airports near Paris. Beauvais is about 100 km away from Paris center. I did not investigate further the case through Italy. It is probably something silmilar to above. Well, Ryanair is still an option. Simply consider also travelling with a standard airline from Ljubljana. Prices are maybe a bit higher, but, putting everything together, it may be cheaper than with Ryanair. Easier anyway for you. Time is also money. For instance, I found 7day return ticket from Ljubljana at 195 euros, charges included, on April 5, a bit more some other days, and a very peak of 335 euros, no stopover. In May 2012, return air tickets are mostly around 227 euros, charge included.. http://www.willgoto.com/1/023798/liens.aspx . How do I get to Maribor,Slovenia from Graz, Austria?? ?Full question:

Have UEFA Dismissed Maribor's Claim Of Rangers "Cheating"?Full question:UEFA has thrown out a protest from Maribor over the eligibility of Carlos Bocanegra to play in European competition. The Slovenian side, Rangers’ opponents in the Europa League play-off round, made a complaint over the American defender lining up in the first leg tie last Thursday. Maribor questioned Bocanegra’s inability to feature in the SPL against Motherwell on Sunday, just three days after he played in Slovenia. Bocanegra had not been given a UK work permit at that point but UEFA have insisted immigration law has no bearing on the ability of a club to register a player for European competition. The phrase “eligible to play at domestic level” relates specifically to a player being registered by the Scottish FA and is not dependant upon a player receiving immigration clearance from the UK Border Agency. MORE GOOD NEWS STV understands Rangers youngster Gregg Wylde has agreed a contract extension to remain at Ibrox for four more years. The winger is in the final year of his contract and had previously rejected offers of a new contract. However, the 20-year-old has now reached agreement on a new deal that will run until the summer of 2015. Best answer:lol here's the next complaint going to uefa. Pmacgiollabhain Phil MacGiollaBhain Bocanegra did not have a medical before signing for RFC. Rushed job. Did this break any UEFA rules? I think it might...insurance etc and the Tims actually take him seriously. awe you hurt my feelings Linzi. How's your wee one by the way? So it was thanks to "TV deals" that English football dominated European football in the 70s? You could also argue that it is only thanks to "TV deals" why the Scottish league is superior to the Welsh; Irish and Northern Irish leagues. Can't have it both ways Manchesterderry boy And Man Utd are not the reason why England is big? But Rangers are the reason why Scotland is big? Wow you will be pissed if they go bust then, won't you? lol This question would never have been asked if Stoke; Tottenham or Fulham were playing Maribor. It was asked because Birmingham are a Championship team who many of you call the 'real top flight of English football' or whatever. Best answer:Ajax (71,72 & 73) & Bayern Munich (74, 75 & 76) dominated European football in the 70s. European club competitions are about individual clubs not countries, otherwise it would be international competitions. Which location would you choose to visit this summer if all expenses were paid?Full question:If you had the choice between the following, where would you travel in the summertime and why? They kept a respectable scoreline against Swiss Giants Sion, 3-1. They fought hard, but FC Sion just overpowered them in the end. Rangers, too, managed to keep the score down against the might Maribor. Then there's Hearts, who are still battling away gallantly against Tottenham Reserves. I'm sure the Scottish will look on with pride as they sip their Irn-Bru. Best answer:Actually, I'm enjoying a mid afternoon coffee and a cucumber sandwich ... after screaming obscenities at my monitor for ninety minutes ... well i see the mighty Malmo got humped 4-1 by AZ Alkmaar?Full question:and the other great team NK Maribor lost 2-0 to Club Bruges how do you think rangers would have fared in those games ? and magin Celtic getting beat 2-0 by that wee diddy team Atletico Madrid lol whats this with the st johnstone & ross county theme thought i was talking about European football lol Best answer:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1979_European_Cup_Final Malmo are therefore bigger than Rangers, so it shouldn't be a surprise???? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14569496.stm wee diddy team? was that a good result for rangers tonight?Full question:a positive score as the germans aint the mighty maribor or malmo......snigger Best answer:At this rate Ally's going to starve to death. You stay strong, you are the better person, dont ever feel guilty aite...dont feel bad..look after number1...thats YOU!!! your boy will comer knocking when you least expect it aite...stay strong & be proud... Is Scottish Football really that bad?Full question:I think the state of Scottish Football has been greatly exadurated, look at Hearts, hammered 5-0 by Tottenham. This is hardly surprising considering the quality of football they showed in the Champions League last year, reaching the quarter finals destroying Inter Milan and AC Milan as they went. I think this was just blown up because Spurs were underestimated. Do you think if Inter or AC Milan had beat Hearts 5-0 there would have been as big a deal made of it. Not to mention little was said of Hearts impressive 0-0 at White Hart Lane. Then Rangers, beaten by Malmo and Maribor, there are no excuses for these results considering the poor opposition, but you can't honestly tell me that it would have happened had Walter Smith been in charge. A young manager with virtually no proper managerial experience, taking charge of his team for the first time in a competitive match, coupled with a squad full of new players brought in from Romania to Sweden to France and so on, virtually complete strangers thrown onto a European stage (take Carlos Bocanegra travelling relentlessly to make it to Maribor hardly even being introduced to his teammates and going straight into the starting line-up). It ain't a great combination is it, not to mention the lack of European experience and injuries in those teams. Then I stumbled across this - http://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/uefarankings/club/index.html Rangers are the 45th best team in Europe and Celtic the 59th according to this. That ain't bad to me. Look at it, we are better than Everton, PSG, Aston Villa, Rubin Kazan, Napoli to name a few. Then look at our friendlies. -Rangers 1-0 Liverpool -Hamburg SV 2-1 Rangers (We would have drawn 1-1 but for a goalkeeping error) And Celtic in their Europa League campaign: Celtic 1-1 Rennes Celtic 1-1 Udinese Celtic 3-1 Rennes These are teams from Europes best leagues Serie A and Ligue1. So if you have been bothered to read and consider my arguement, then you'll agree that teams in Scotland have had a bad season, yes, but who said that bad seasons don't happen and that Scottish Football will always be perfect, obviously without money we cannot be at the standards that we once were, so you have to be realistic and accept what is realistic for us now. All in all I think it would be brilliant if scottish clubs would really spend a good deal of money in January to gear up for next season and all being well either or both Rangers and Celtic should be back in the group stage of the Champions League and we'll see how things go from there Best answer:It bloody has not, it’s in a fcuking terrible state! The manner of the Hearts defeat was embarrassing, whatever way you dress it up, don’t try and say anything otherwise. I was at the 2nd leg, it was Spurs youth team plus a few benchers, pretty much. A 0-0 is nothing from this game, it was a formality and don’t pretend it was anything else. Destroying Inter (lost 4-3, won 3-1) and AC (0-0 draw, 1-0 win), I think not!! The whole Rangers “argument” is just excuse after excuse, “yeah what if or but, if”, no if’s no but’s you didn’t. 45th and 59th is not something to be getting yer jollies at! Everton, PSG, Villa and Napoli are not even in Europe most years and Rubin have only picked up over the last few years. Friendlies? Do me a fcukin favour, who gives a fcuk what they mean in the grand scheme of things, certainly no English, French, Spanish, German or Dutch teams care. Only a Scottish fan would bring up a friendly, as though it held some bloody significance. Celtic’s Europa League campaign!? We shouldn't even be there and certainly since we have, it has been fcuk all to write home about. Aye, I have been unfortunate enough to read and comment on your bizzare views on the state of Scottish Football and it is quite possible one of the worst opinions or points of view about something, I have ever read. It suffers from some dewy eyed romantic, “Glass half full” outlook, the glass is bloody empty and has been for years. I want to now this because Im a big Titanic fan (and Olympic is Titanic's sister ship). I also make a Titanic project for school and I could use this! PLEASE HELP AND SORRY FOR MISSLELLINGS!!! Best answer:The passenger lists are not usually destroyed, and might (even after so long) still exist. The successor to the White Star Line was Cunard; I do not know whether Cunard are still in business or have been taken over. In any case, the lists might still be in the archives and might be discoverable. A polite letter to the successor company might be the most useful first step in your research. Good luck! Slovenia vs. Italy tonight?Full question:what are your predictions for Slovenia vs. Italy match tonight? matches between the two so far: 1. 07.09.94 – Maribor: Slo-Ita 1-1 2. 06.09.95 – Napoli: Ita-Slo 1-0 3. 21.08.02 – Trieste: Ita-Slo 0-1 4. 09.01.04 – Celje: Slo-Ita 1-0 5. 08.10.05 – Palermo: Ita-Slo 1-0 = 2 wins for Slovenia 2wins for Italy 1 draw Slovenia has yet to lose against Italy on the gome grounds. Tonight they're playing in Arena Stozice in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Italy is missing Daniele De Rossi. Slovenia has 7 players that play in Seria A, including one of the best goalies right now Samir Handanovic. Best answer:Slovenia 0-2 Italy Can the english not understand that the difference between the SPL and EPL is down to money?Full question:The english Premier League is full of excellent players worth ridiculous amounts of money being paid even more ridiculously massive wages. Why? because SKY are pumping fortunes into the English game. These players don't just turn up in England and suddenly become become brilliant players, they're there for the money nothing else. If Celtic, rangers, Dundee United and Hearts were given anything like the amount of money to spend on players that English teams do, somehow I don't think they'd be struggling against the likes of Sion and Maribor. Comparing the EPL with the SPL is like comparing Richard Branson with the guy down in the dole queue. I know I'm stating the obvious but is it that hard to understand. Are they really that thick? Best answer:Of course it's about money! Only idiots don't know that, don't tar us with the same brush. With Celtic's midweeks taken up with European football and Cup games, the rangers fans are very envious?Full question:I know this is more of a statement than a question but the rangers fans are giving some very envious glances towards Celtics midweek exploits. After being unceremoniously dumped out of the League cup, Champions League and Europa cup they're midweeks are a non-event. They try to get a wee cheap thrill out of Celtic getting beat on a Wed/Thurs night but after playing Aletico Madrid, Udinese, Rennes and Hibs recently only Aletico have managed to defeat Celtic so no joy there for them either!!lol. Just the long slog of the SPL for them to look forward to this season until the Scottish cup starts but if they insist on getting beat by the likes of Maribor, Malmo and Falkirk..they get what they deserve lol!! Of course they will try to deny it and bang on about being top of the league but they're jealousy is clear for all to see...Get over it rangers fans, you have been knocked out of every cup competition you have entered this season...so no midweek games for you...live with it!! rangers and they're fans are on the outside looking in....cold out there isn't it? Best answer:I agree with some of what you say, I see some Rangers fans making stupid remarks towards Celtics performances in Europe and the League Cup when they are a non entity in all competitions, However this does give them the chance to concentrate on the League and their players get a weeks rest between games while Celtic get only 2 or 3 days between each game, its already taking its toll when you look at the team they put out yesterday with makeshift defense and midfield, I think they are down about 5 players and the season has only started. What do you think of my Eastern Europe travel plan?Full question:Hello, Me and a couple of buddies are leaving for a 22-day euro-trip this Friday, on train. We plan to visit Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria,Croatia and Slovenia. Our starting place is Athens, Greece. We were thinking of going to Thessaloniki for a couple of hours and then take the train to Sofia. After chilling in Sofia, we'll take the train to Bucharest. We'll stay in Romania for 2-3 days and we'll visit Burgas and Sighisoara en route to Hungary. I don't thing it's worth staying in Hungary, so we'll just pass it by on our way to Kosice, Slovakia. Then we'll head to Zilina (we'll skip Bratislava) as we make our way to the big thing: the Czech Republic! Our first station there is Brno. We'll also visit various locations on day-trips and we'll look to stay in Czech-land for some time. When we're finished with the Czech Rep. we'll head south, to Austria and Graz. Even though Austria is pretty, we'll save time to spend in Croatia and Slovenia -my personal favorites! In Slovenia we'll make our base in Maribor, often taking trips to Ljubljana and Bled. After that, we'll go to Croatia and Zagreb. After spending some time there, we'll take the train to Zadar and the awesome Split. On our way home we'll go to Italy to take the boat from Ancona to Greece. And that's it pretty much. I would like to see your suggestions! Thanks in advance! people, people, people... I never said I prefer Bulgaria to Hungary! The places I want to visit are the Czech Rep, Slovenia and Croatia. All the other countries are my friends' wishes! I can't travel forever you know! Αν υπήρχε αστυνομία των απαντήσεων, θα με χαιρετούσατε μέσα απο τα σίδερα! Best answer:Dude, that's cool plan but I think you are not doing good think by skipping some of the best places and capitals in europe. There is Vienna which you have to see and it's just a few minutes from Bratislava. I would recommend you to stop in Vienna and Bratislava (both great cities, one hour by train). Bratislava is really nice and great city, way better than Brno (if you need to save time do it in Košice and Žilina). Also Vienna is great, and at least you will see also a piece of western europe, not just east. Than go to Budapest. You can spend just one day in every city, buť I think it would be shame if you didn't visit them. Also I think best city in Croatia is Dubrovnik, much better than awesome(?) split. But understand it's quite out of hand. Still, I don't see big problem in visiting Bratislava and Vienna (and Budapest if you have time). But Slovenia and Croatia are also my favorite countries (just Slovakia except Czech). Hunagry is also nice place, you should do at least one city. Also, I would try to spend in Romania as little time as possible because those guys will even steal you underwear if you will not watch it. There is also one big gypsy ghetto in Košice, so if you really plan to visit Košice just try to stay as much away from them as possible. So dude, have a great time with your friends and watch out because more eastern you get, the more trouble you can get into. Especially in Romania. Nothing against romanians of course, I like Romania but there are many poor and desperate people. Hope this helps Timmy, Tommy and Terry gathered round the weathered, musty upholstery of their grandfather's chair...?Full question:In eager anticipation to listen to the story of the former Germany and Stuttgart international target man Fredi Bobic. "Very well!", screamed the seemingly gentile old man in a tempestuous rage... Fredi Bobic (Slovene: Fredi Bobič) (born October 30, 1971 in Maribor, SR Slovenia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a former German football player of Slovene and Croat descent. Currently, he works as a director of sport for German VfB Stuttgart. Bobic reached his prime in the mid-1990s at VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga. In his first Bundesliga season (1994/95), he scored a goal in each of his first five games, so he became a candidate for the German national football team after only a few appearances in the first German league. In 1996, he was the Bundesliga's top scorer with 17 goals. After four years in Stuttgart, in 1999 he signed with Borussia Dortmund and was the club's top scorer in both 1999-00 and 2000-01. However, after the signings of Jan Koller and Marcio Amoroso in the summer of 2001, he soon fell out of favor and played only three games in the first half of 2001-02 season. Subsequently, he was loaned to the Premiership side Bolton Wanderers, where he had a successful spell, playing a key role in keeping Bolton in the Premiership. His hat trick in the 4-1 win against Ipswich at the Reebok Stadium[1] ensured Bolton stayed up, while effectively sending Ipswich down. He scored once more for Bolton, in a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa.[2] After returning from England he was signed by newly promoted Bundesliga side Hannover 96 where he reestablished himself as one of the league's top scorers, netting 14 times in 27 games. In 2003 he was signed by Hertha BSC, where he played for two seasons, scoring 8 goals in 54 games.
