Don King wanted there to be an eventual Tyson-Lewis Showdown because he knew there would be a big payday in there for him. McCall was in the way of this showdown, and was obviously Paid to loose. Which is why he was crying. If you watch the fight, you could tell that there were several occasions where McCall could have hit Lewis clean, but simply refused to do so. Se he just got fustrated placed his hands on his side. There are also speculations that McCall was paid to lose against Frank Bruno.

Don't try selling on eBay because they have a program to cancel auctions of people who use trademarks without permission. Also, many patterns do not let you make things to sell. You should read the instructions to see what the pattern says, and if you need more information write to the company and ask for permission.

I've seen Tyson and McCall spar live. I can tell you that their sessions were quite scary, especially if you're a Tyson fan. I've often wondered how much a fighter actually leaves in the gym because, in may cases, the sparring sessions are tougher than the fight. I saw they twice because I was lucky enough to work as a games supervisor and writer of a magazine in NJ. I also met Tyson several times and have atteneded each of his fights, whenever he fought in NJ. McCall was hell in the gym and there were whispers that he would never get a shot at Tyson. By this time, Don King had taken over Tyson's career and McCall was not very easy for King to control. The sparring matches were brutal and bloody. Neither guy is fun to be around when he's upset. It's a shame that McCall couldn't make more of his career. I always thought he was better than all the rest of that group of fighters in the 80s, outside of Tyson. You have to also realize that, for every great fighter --or any athlete for that matter-- there are also other forces that seperate him from one who is just as good, or even better, but with fewer political ties or connections. We like to think of Tyson as invincible but have you ever wondered why he never fought guys like Ike Ibeabuchi (before jail), David Tua or McCall? I can tell you that each of them were just as tough or even had some advantages over Tyson. But none had the fanfare or managerial backing that Tyson enjoyed.

That's kind of like asking what other authors write fantasy exactly like J.K. Rowling (answer: none). Alexander McCall Smith has a unique voice that I've not found anywhere else. For sweet novels, you might try the Mitford series by Jan Karon, starting with "At Home in Mitford." For historical fiction, you might try "Mrs. Mike" by Benedict and Nancy Freedman. For gentle mysteries, you might try "Aunt Dimity's Death" by Nancy Atherton, the first in a series. Don't expect reading these authors to be like reading Alexander McCall Smith. But I think you might enjoy them in addition to the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series.

Well its highly possible that Dick Wolf took inspiration for Olivia and El from the Hunter series. Stephen J. Cannell is legendary and he created two such characters that I can totally see being emulated in other series. The difference I see between the two is that O and El will shoot to kill if need be, but Hunter and McCall usually shot first and asked questions later.

I've read the first four or five and I've really enjoyed them. If your library doesn't carry them, see if you can 1) request them from another library in the system or 2) make a purchase request. This fight is quite interesting to me. I would personally be nervous putting money on it either way. HOPEFULLY it would NOT end with a McCall meltdown. For the sake of argument, lets assume that both guys bring their A-GAME. What happens?

McCall can show patience, calm and a sturdy chin in difficult situation fights. In his ninth round TKO win over Bruce Seldon he was behind on all the scorecards before he knocked Seldon three times, all from right hands. In other words, he did not give up and call it quits because he was behind on all the judges scorecards. He is also a better tactician in these tough situations. His WBC Heavyweight title defense against Larry Holmes is another example. For eight rounds it was about even before McCall unleashed his attack upon Holmes against the ropes in the ninth round and taking a hard fought but unanimous decision. McCall has a very high threshold of pain and can take a lot of punishment but even when he is losing a fight he does not lose his composure, as evident by his tenth round KO win over Henry Akinwande despite being behind on the scorecards. Morrison has a lot of heart and one of the best left hooks in the boxing business and he also has a brittle chin. His chin is suspect but his heart is not. He always had a great heart and could get up off the canvas to win the fight. But these were against heavyweight contenders who had seen better days. Carl "the Truth" Williams was not much of a factor in the division when Morrison fought him but he had to get up off the floor--twice--to rally for an eight round TKO. Morrison came close to losing to Razor Ruddock before a sixth round rally and a barrage of punches stopped in the fight in the closing seconds of the sixth. Both Heavyweights were past it when Morrison fought them and he had to come back from the brink of defeat to win. Against an A-game McCall this is not going to be enough; the difference being the ability to take punishment and the chin I go with McCall by seventh round KO. Morrison starts off the fight fast and wins a couple of rounds but McCall keeps his composure and when Morrison starts to tire out in the fifth or sixth rounds McCall goes for the kill a la Ray Mercer. McCall knocks out Morrison in the seventh round.
