The color will be more effected by using Hershey's rather than the Dutch Process. Flavor will be impacted a bit but not much. I would use the cocoa that you have rather than getting more. By the way the recipe for the frosting on the Hershey's cocoa is the best!

You mentioned the 168 grain Sierra MatchKing --- so I went to directly to the Sierra Reloading Manual, since this one has specific data for the 168 gr. Sierra MatchKing bullet. The most recent Sierra Reloading Manual lists "Reloader 19" as the most accurate powder for the 7mm Remington Magnum and a 168 gr Sierra MatchKing bullet. It lists the most accurate load as 63.1 gr of "Reloader 19" (or RE19), at a velocity of 2950 fps. Their test rifle was a Savage model 116 with a 26" barrel, and 1 in 9" twist. If for some reason, you were referring to a different 7mm, Sierra lists the following as the most accurate powders for the 168 gr Sierra MatchKing: 7mm WSM RE 22 7mm STW RE 25 7mm Weatherby Viht N165 7mm RUM no listing

You will have to treat more than just the dog and his bedding. The carpets, cracks and crevices and outside will also have to be treated. Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum! Get either Advantix or Frontline for the dog. If there is a massive infestation, then he may need a flea dip and an exterminator would be your option.

Chinese Five Spice Powder - Safe to use in stir fry?

I went to my local chinatown (Boston) and bought a bag of Royal King brand Five-Spice Powder to use in my cooking, and happened to notice on the back this instruction: "This product must be cooked in boiling water above 100 degrees Celsius for more than 20 minutes before serving." What is that warning about? I should mention the five-spice came in a 1lb (16 oz) bag in powder form (it's a brownish sort of powder). I've seen five-spice powder used in all kinds of recipes - why would there be such directions on the package? I can't see being able to follow those instructions with recipes like stir fry, etc. Any recommendations as to what I can (or can't) do with this type of chinese five-spice powder will be much appreciated. My best guess is that they are concerned about bacteria. By making a statement such as this they aren't liable since you've been warned. Given all of the contamination issues coming from chinese products I'd be more worried about melamine than bacteria. it has turned up in toothpaste, animal food and baby formula. personally I'd probably use it in a stir fry and not worry about it. We play Russian roulette every time we eat all sorts of American products from apple juice to ground beef, lettuce, sprouts and the more recent tomato, onion and hot pepper E. Coli out breaks.
