I have lived in Salmon Arm for the past 14 years. Generally we get quite a bit of snow, but I have seen some winters where we didn't have snow for Christmas. Winter temps are on average about -5C, usually it snows, melts some, snows, etc, so the snow pack in town isn't normally too high. Due to the elevation difference around town, many areas get noticably more snow than areas closer to the downtown core.

It really doesn't matter if you have big arms and are in shape i am i have big arms and in good shape and i salmon fish those salmon just exert a lot of pressure when fighting them and even i get tired fighting them the only thing that helps is if you keep on fishing and it gets easier after awhile. But i guess you can do some workouts with arms doing various type of workouts before you go fishing again,Pull ups and push ups and arm curls i think would be the best for strengthening your arms up.
