I was born there :] Sandpoint is what we call a "walking town." You will see lots of people in sandals and shorts and tank tops just walking from shop to shop. In the summer you see beach bums running around in their bikinis and swim shorts ;] I recommend some really comfortable walking sandals or tennis shoes. Something you are comfy in. Spending time on the lake is always a popular activity in Sandpoint. There are great beaches within the city limits or just outside of town. Downtown has lots of small shops and restaurants, so walking around is a good option. Schweitzer Resort offers hiking and mountain biking in the summer. The Festival at Sandpoint provides outdoor music and other entertainment for 2 weeks in early August, including some big-name acts. The Panida is a great independent theater downtown. Silverwood Theme Park is 1/2 hour south, and it has a waterpark and lots of amusement-park rides popular with all ages. Hope this is a good start - enjoy!!!

You need to screw a coupling over the end of the pipe so you don't ruin the threads on the end of the pipe. I live in Florida and have always used StaRite pumps.This works for shallow wells real deep wells should be done by a pro.I always went 17 to 25 feet and hit a water pocket. The point will drive hard until you reach the pocket and it will just be real easy, at this point just go another 2 feet or so. I would just place the pump convenient to where you want it to be. The aquafer is different from place to place and there is no telling you may run out of water in 6 months. Drive a point 5 feet away and it will last forever there just is no telling. I have only driven through it a number of times, and stopped for gas and food, etc. I actually liked it, felt it was "quaint". The main road through idaho to the canadian border goes through sandpoint, but it kind of meanders through so you get a bit of a feel for it. Sorry, I haven't been there enough to say what is good or bad about it, but I think it would be a kinda cool place to live. Sandpoint, ID - Living costs?

Ok so i just got a job for a software engineering job for a company as a contractor. Their office is into Sandpoint, ID and they asked me if i wanted to go up there this summer for an internship. Currently i live into San Diego, CA and i live with my parents (im 19) so i never lived on my own... I really want to go up there because i heard that the taxes into ID isn't all that bad, especially compared to CA. The pay isn't as bad as it can get, i get $10 an hour, 8 hours a day 5 days a week. I calculated that i will earn approximately $1600 a month UNTAXED. I have some things i need answered before i go up there. What is the taxes like up there? I heard approximately 20% which is a lot cheaper than CA i guess. What about other living costs? Looking on craigslist (only 17 results for in Sandpoint, ID) 1 bedroom apartments are approximately $300-400 a month and 1 bedroom and some 2 bedroom houses (which i don't need a 2 bed) are approximately $400+. Estimating that i earn $1600 a month UNTAXED with the basic utilities: electric, gas, sewer, water, trash. If i was to take out the taxes of my checks (my work doesn't take out taxes, they leave it up to me) would i be able to survive with the bare necessities up there? Also what if i also had Internet, would i be able to survive with that added to the list of expenses? Really need your help!

First, you are wrong about the taxes, every dime you earn is taxed, you simply are responsible to pay them, not your employer. You will end up in prison on Income Tax Evasion if you do not pay your taxes. That aside you will LOVE Sandpoint. It is a great little town, surrounded in beauty and TONS of things to do. You will be fine up there, as long as you leave before winter, the heating bills would be killer.
