The earlier you get there the closer to the beach you will be able to park. You can park on just about any street....there are meters though right along the boardwalk but if you just park like 1 block in you won't have to pay. Spring Lake is beautiful..the beach is really nice and not as crowded as some of the other local beaches. Public restrooms are clean. Try to park near the South End or North End (you will see a brick building at each end...this is where the pool and restrooms/locker rooms are). So, if you want easy access to the restrooms park in either area. Downtown Spring Lake is really nice too...they have some shops and restaurants as well as a park with a playground.

I went 2 summers ago to Spring Lake and there was a restaurant within walking distance of the beach that I went to and I can't remember the name. There was the main building, but if you went around back there was a small outdoor area and they sold beer and a few things to eat. They had $1 sliders and really cheap lobster. Lake or pond ?? It very well could be a lake as there are many, many 'spring-fed' lakes. Most often ponds are spring fed and are self contained whereas lakes may be spring fed but they usually feed into other bodies of water. However as I mentioned there are many self-contained spring fed lakes. I know of several large lakes: one that is 70 ft deep, 1/4 mile wide and 1 mile long. Another is Horn Lake - some places it is 150 feet deep, shoreline is over 14 miles. I don't know the width and length. The one you are talking about, although large in area is not very deep at all. It could very easily be a lake. Because of the size, I personally would call it a small lake. Now, on the down side of this. There is a "pond" called Barachois Pond. This pond is 5.6 miles long - one BIG pond. I don't know the depth or width. Knowing this information, yours could be a large pond. So, is yours a pond or a lake?? Good question. To really find the answer to your question you need to know the name of this body of water. Also man-made or natural? Keep in mind that ponds and lakes can be man-made. When I think of ponds I think of smaller bodies of water - Yours to me is a lake!
