how come the jets in my sundance spa won't work?

I have a sundance 680 hot tub and the power comes on, but I have no idea if the heater works. Also, when I push the buttons for the jets and air flow nothing happens. The lights come on but nothing else happens. The spa is about 6 years old. Any ideas?

You need to check the power cord to the circuit board from your pumps and verify if they are getting the correct voltage/amps. If the electricty is indeed going to the pump then check it's capacitor that starts it. Most likely this is the problem. IF not then 1st get a new topside control, then a new circuit board. CALL your Sundance Service rep!

I found a good deal on airfare to Salt Lake City, so I randomly picked a weekend to go. Unfortunately, not only did I pick a weekend in the middle of the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, I also picked a holiday weekend (MLK day). So, my question is, where would be a good place to ski this weekend to avoid the crowds? I figure Park City, Canyons and Deer Valley will all be slammed. Does that mean the rest of the resorts near the city will be relatively light? Or will everywhere be pretty much packed?

Sundance is a mixed bag. On one hand, the hotels will be packed with filmmakers and celebrities and not people coming into town for skiing. On the other hand, the celebrities and filmmakers still want to ski. Unless you ski the black diamond runs, you will most likely find the Park City-area slopes busy during the middle of the day. Also, Park City [downtown] will be extremely crowded, so if you go there, make reservations for restaurants and take the free shuttles and not your car. The other resorts in the SLC area should be average attendance. Yes, it's a holiday weekend, but that also means that a lot of the locals will be leaving town and not going skiing. Expect Saturday and Monday to be busier than Sunday. Afternoons are always lighter; some resorts offer free skiing after 3.

Is it okay to use copyrighted music in a film being submitted to Sundance?

I'm currently a college student making a film. I know what a long shot it is, but I'm thinking of submitting my film to Sundance. As of right now, my film has copyrighted music in it (mainly by The Eagles, which plays a big part in the plot). That being said, will Sundance accept copyrighted music in my film if I give full credit to the artists? Or do I need permission from them to submit it? Thanks.

You need a license to include the music in your film. Giving credit does absolutely nothing. You also need to learn a lot more about how copyright works, if you intend to make films, otherwise you're going to end up losing everything in court.

How does a film make it to sundance?

All the movies in Sundance Film Festival look low budget. What in a film gets it to Sundance. In other words, why wouldn't the Dark Knight go to Sundance or the Departed?

The main requirement for films at Sundance is that they can't already have distribution secured. Studio films, which usually have the biggest budgets and include The Dark Knight and The Departed, already have distribution in place before they are even shot. Therefore, Sundance won't accept them. Sundance accepts independent (independently financed) films. This could be anything from a low budget movie with no name actors like Napoleon Dynamite (when it was made), to a multi-million dollar movie, like Little Miss Sunshine, as long as the film doesn't have distribution in place. Reps from all the studios then attend Sundance, watch the films, and decide if they want to buy any of them to distribute.

First, let me tell you that non-natives aren't usually allowed into Sundances, much less dance in them. Secondly, it all varies, there are some people that are fake and will let anyone dance for a large sum of cash, avoid those, you will never pay for prayers. Thirdly, you can't just come out of no where and expect to dance, it's not a game or done for fun. I come from a traditional family. When Sundancing, you have to have a good reason to, not just for the experience. I can't say I know of anyone who would let a non-native dance, and the few that I do know of, will charge you an arm and a leg and its not real. It's not an easy thing to do for a non-native and the fact that you don't know much about it to begin with isn't good either, also not knowing your reasons makes me not want to help too much. The lights on my Maxxus Sundance Spa stopped working. What can I do to try to fix it myself?

I have a Maxxus Sundance Spa that is just over one year old (the warranty is void b/c I bought it from the previous owner who owned the house I purchased). Recently, the lights inside the Spa quite working. I don't think the lights burned out b/c there is more than one light and none of them work. There are lights under the water and lights near the water fall, neither work now. They have been working fine since I've had the Spa (which is a year) but last week they wouldn't turn on when I pushed the main button. The problem actually started two weeks ago. The spa has two points where you can turn the lights on. About two weeks ago the main button to turn on the light quit working, but the auxiliary button on the other side of the tub did work. Then, a few days later both both buttons worked again. Now, neither button works. I've checked the owners manual and it doesn't say anything about troubleshooting the lights. Is there anything I can do before I call a repair person?

You can submit as many films as you like. You do not need to attend the screening. Anyone is allowed to attend as long as they have tickets. This one is the newest version of the timeshare scam, which keeps changing it's name when the authorites catch up with them. Don't give them your money or your credit card. You will be sorry.

usually the screw for the speakers will have to accessed from the trunk. just take the old ones out unhooking the wires that are connected. Then get the new speakers and put them in from the trunk as well. once you see where the screws have been put in it'll be easy

You can take your car to an Autozone parts store or an Aamco Transmission shop and have them 'pull' the code. (I'm sure other parts stores will do this as well, but I know that both AAmco and AutoZone will do it for free). Both will do so for free and tell you what the code means. If you want to go beyond that in terms of diagnosis Aamco will charge you for the additional diagnosis. Autozone may recommend a part based on the code.
