Big White Ski Resort, or simply Big White, is a ski resort located 56 km (35 mi) southeast of Kelowna, in the British Columbia interior. It is the second largest resort in British Columbia after Whistler-Blackcomb, making it one of the larger resorts in North America. Big White is the sister resort of Silver Star Mountain Resort. Big White has a good vertical rise (2,654ft). As a guide, skiers will typically stop several times when skiing top to bottom (most skiers would not be able to ski top to bottom without stopping). Big White has mostly intermediate and advanced runs so beginners may find it a little challenging. With an amazing 118 trails, make sure you get hold of a trail map before you set out.
