(3.26 moos out of 5) Overview
A Sun Valley Resort is the essence of rustic chic and has fast become Utah's most asked about winter sports resort. Enjoy the sun soaked slopes, panoramic views, rocky outcrops and the Needles Ridge sculpted by cirques with the breathtaking Needles Spires. Welcoming the world in 2002, Snowbasin successfully hosted six events, including the men's and women's downhill, Super G and combined events. Snowbasin has a good vertical rise (2,959ft). As a guide, skiers will typically stop several times when skiing top to bottom (most skiers would not be able to ski top to bottom without stopping). Snowbasin has mostly intermediate and advanced runs so beginners may find it a little challenging. With 64 trails, it will take quite some time to explore the entire ski area.
