Overview

Snowbird is located about a mile away from Alta and 29 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport.  It offers a variety of slopes that will challenge experienced skiers and snowboarders. It also has numerous intermediate slopes. 

Snowbird’s Superpipe is located on the Big Emma run and is accessed by the Mid Gad or Gadzoom lifts. Snowbird’s terrain park is located on the Blue Bell trail is serviced by the Baby Thunder lift. 

Snowbird has a good vertical rise (3,241ft). As a guide, skiers will typically stop several times when skiing top to bottom (most skiers would not be able to ski top to bottom without stopping). Snowbird has a good range of terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. With 89 trails, it will take quite some time to explore the entire ski area.
