Overview

Sunadance is a lovely boutique resort located in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. The scenery is beautiful and, interestingly, it is owned by Robert Redford.

Recently (January, 2009), Sundance was listed in Conde Nast Traveler’s Fifteenth Annual Gold List in the January 09 issue, as well as ranking ninth in the magazine’s Top 50 2008 Best Places to Ski and Stay in their December 08 issue. Refer to the Sundance press page for more details.

Tip: the food Tree Room and Grill is superb.

Sundance has a quite a good vertical rise (2,152ft). As a guide, skiers will typically stop 3 or 4 times when skiing top to bottom. Sundance has mostly intermediate and advanced runs so beginners may find it a little challenging. With 41 trails, most skiers would be happy to spend a week or so exploring the terrain at Sundance.
