Overview
Treble Cone is the home of New Zealand's most exhilarating ski and snowboarding experience, with 550 hectares (1359 acres) of lift accessed terrain, it is the largest ski are in New Zealand's South Island and offers the best free riding terrain in Australasia. Also renowned for its super wide groomed trails and uncrowded slopes Treble Cone truly offers something for all abilities with the longest intermediate trail in the country and a fantastic beginner’s facility.
Located on the edge of the majestic Southern Alps, Treble Cone ski area provides spectacular views across Lake Wanaka and Mt Aspiring, an award winning cafe and unparalleled Snow School clinics that will keep you fizzing.
Treble Cone has a quite a good vertical rise (2,297ft). As a guide, skiers will typically stop 3 or 4 times when skiing top to bottom. Treble Cone has mostly intermediate and advanced runs so beginners may find it a little challenging. With 41 trails, most skiers would be happy to spend a week or so exploring the terrain at Treble Cone.
