Overview

Vail has a large vertical rise (3,451ft). As a guide, skiers will generally not be skiing top to bottom all day as the range is too great. Skiers would typically stop a number of times when skiing top to bottom and only the fittest skiers would be able to ski top to bottom without stopping. Vail has a good range of terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. With an amazing 193 trails, make sure you get hold of a trail map before you set out.
