Whistler has a very large vertical rise (5,020ft). As a guide, skiers will generally not be skiing top to bottom all day as the range is much too great. Most skiers would not even dream of skiing top to bottom without stopping. Whistler has mostly intermediate and advanced runs so beginners may find it a little challenging. With an amazing 100 trails, make sure you get hold of a trail map before you set out. Note: Whistler is part of the composite ski area Whistler-Blackcomb.
